Inward – An introspective retreat
The greatest journey you can take in this life is the six inches from your head to your heart. In the fast pace of modern life, making that sacred inner pilgrimage can feel almost impossible. This retreat will create the time, space, and guidance to return to yourself.
This is not just a reset; this is a return to, and an honouring of your heart’s deepest desire (Sankalpa). You will explore practices that allow this intention to rise from within and help you overcome behaviours that, consciously or unconsciously, limit your highest potential and the deeper purpose that longs to express through you.
Are you ready to make space for silence and self-enquiry to create change in your life and take the next step? This three-day immersion invites you to slow down, soften, and reconnect in nature at the beautiful sanctuary of Cheeky Fox Retreat in Kinglake.
Your experienced facilitators, Rayne Watkin and Sarah Machado, will guide you through a deeply supportive journey to help you realign with your inner wisdom—gently and effortlessly.
Murrindindi Beanie and Fibre Festival
The Murrindindi Beanie and Fibre Festival is a community event, a feast of fibre art, fabulous beanies, winter warmers and more. Expanding to become the Fibre Festival of the North East, the event features an arts precinct full of both indoor and outdoor market stalls, yummy treats, pre booked workshops, quilt displays and fibre art, sculptures in the park and all within an easy and picturesque walk amoung the Autumn leaves.
The town of Alexandra comes alive with all things beanie, as lamp posts, shops and businesses take up the fibre festival challenge. Beanies and winter warmers of all shapes and sizes are donated, displayed and available to purchase. You can even bid for your favourite creation if you can’t make it in person. Check out the website to see last year’s creations.
Anyone can create and donate a beautiful beanie, beginners and children are encouraged to enter. The ‘Beanie Kids Recycled Creations’ category can be made of any material. The 2025 theme is ‘The world in black and white’.
For further information on how you can enter and donate a beanie or two, category details, conditions and entry forms, look for the Festival brochure on the website or visit the Facebook page. Proceeds from the sale of the beanies go towards local charities within the community of Murrindindi.
