👀LOOKOUTS GALORE 🌅

Rug up and hit some of the best lookouts in Murrindindi Shire this winter. Think lake views, mountain landscapes, rolling hills and on the right day, the perfect sunrise of sunset spots. Top it off with a stop in at one of our cosy café’s or warm up fireside at a local pub, brewery, winery or distillery… it doesn’t get much better than that!

Here’s our TOP 5 picks:

✅Murchison Gap Lookout, Strath Creek
When the weather is kind, capture killer sunrises with the sun coming up behind the Valley of a Thousand Hills.

✅Acheron Cutting Lookout, Alexandra
Often sitting just above the low morning fog in the river valley below, this expansive view takes in a wide panorama of the expansive farmland below.

✅Keppel Lookout, Marysville
The view over Marysville and to the Cathedral Ranges beyond is breathtaking, sometimes it even gets snow!

✅Lady Stonehaven’s Lookout, Kinglake
Set on the edge of the Kinglake Ranges this lookout really highlights the proximity to Melbourne city, which you can see from the reserve on a clear day.

✅Foggs Lookout, Eildon
The ultimate vantage point to take in the majestic Lake Eildon with its pristine, vast clear water and surrounding peaks.

👀HAVE YOU VISITED THIS WATERFALL YET?!

💦🌿Snobs Banyarmbite Falls, located 15 minutes from the township of Eildon, has a spectacular viewing platform fixed to a rock face on the side of the falls, jutting out in front of the rushing water. Surrounded by ferns, mosses and fungi in a beautiful eucalypt forest, these falls are a must-see experience.

🥾😍And best of all, it’s only 150 metres from the carpark to get to the main platform, with a second track to the cascades about 100 metres upstream.

If chasing waterfalls is your thing, be sure to check out our Wondrous Waterfalls Trail 👉 @discoverdindi
