The Toolangi State Forest has a number of spectacular walking trails catering for various skill and fitness levels from a short gentle boardwalk to a half day hike meandering across small streams of water and under towering mountain ash. Come and find this rainforest oasis right on your doorstep in the Toolangi State Forest, with excellent opportunities for camping, 4WDs, bushwalking, picnicking, bird watching and awesome trails to explore with your fur friends. There is something for everyone here and a must see on your visit to the Kinglake Ranges.

Explore Bollygum Park and let the kids play on the Bollygum Adventure Playground
Located in the heart of Kinglake and a short walk from the main street cafes and pub is a unique playground based on Gary Fleming children’s book “Bollygum” where the story comes to life! With free BBQs and picnic areas, magical play time and a skate park, the whole family will enjoy a trip to Bollygum Park. Be sure to drop into the Bollygum Market held on the 2nd Sunday of the month between 10am - 2pm to pick up some goodies from some fantastic local stall holders.

Head to Kinglake National Park to view the beautiful Masons Falls
Masons Falls is nestled in Kinglake National Park and offers a fantastic and relatively short walk to the lookout platform that has a great view of the impressive waterfall. Here you can jump onto some longer walking tracks or take the Lyrebird Circuit back to the Masons Falls Picnic Area for an enjoyable picnic, making use of the barbecues, tables, shelters and toilets. All trails lead from this fantastic picnic area, perfect for kids to run wild along a section of the Lyrebird Track.
