Wilhelmina Falls

Wilhelmina Falls is the largest cascade in the district, a 75 metre high waterfall found in the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve, at the northern end of the Toolangi State Forest.

After a decent hike, stairs beside the falls give access to the upper and lower elevations of the falls looking out across the treetops of the Toolangi State Forest.

There is also a roadside viewing area located on Murrindindi Road that gives you a view of the falls from a distance.

GETTING THERE

Murrindindi Scenic Reserve is a short drive from Melbourne and Yea and offers excellent opportunities for recreational activities such as camping, bushwalking, picnicking, fishing and mountain biking.

A walking track from either the Water Gauge or the SEC Camping Grounds will lead you to the Wilhelmina Falls. Access to the falls can also be gained via a 20 minute walk from the Jacksons Road car park area. Turn into Jacksons Road at the Ferns Campsite area.
