Murrindindi Cascades

The Murrindindi Cascades is located at the south end of the Reserve and a walking track allows you to walk down beside the Cascades, and experience it from numerous spots. This is a great location for photography, so don't forget your camera. The walk is 30 minutes return.

This track follows the first 600 metres of the Murrindindi River Walk from the Cascades Picnic Area. Follow the stepped track down to where two footbridges cross the river at the base of the Cascades.

GETTING THERE

Murrindindi Scenic Reserve is a short drive from Melbourne and Yea and offers excellent opportunities for recreational activities such as camping, bushwalking, picnicking, fishing and mountain biking.

From Melbourne travel along the Melba Highway to the intersection of Murrindindi Road, just before Devlins Bridge. Turn right and drive 9km to the Reserve. Follow Wilhelmina Falls Road, alongside the Murrindindi River, past several camp grounds until you reach the Cascades Picnic Area.
