COVID-19 Update – What’s Open?

Visitor Information Centres

Our Visitor Centres at Marysville (MiRa) and Yea (Y Water Discovery Centre) are now open. For opening hours see here.

Parks & Forests

Please note the following CLOSURES:

LADY TALBOT DRIVE – Due to increased risk of tree fall from recent and forecast high rainfall, Lady Talbot Drive is closed including access to Phantom Falls, Keppel Falls, Taggerty River Cascades and The Beeches Walk. For more information, click here.

Parks Victoria has advised that the road bridge at Cooks Mill Camping Area is being replaced, with works planned from 5 October to 12 November. Camping is still available within the western section of Cooks Mill campground, however vehicle access to the camping area will be from the southern end of the park (via Mount Margaret Road from Buxton-Marysville Road). The eastern section of Cooks Mill campground (adjacent to Tweed Spur Track) will be closed as will The Friends Nature Walk and Messmate Track. Parks Victoria has also advised that the works may cause some noise in the vicinity of the camping area. For more information, click here.

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort

Lake Mountain is open again for hiking and mountain biking. Shuttle buses are running on the weekends but like all resorts in Victoria you need to pre-book tickets to visit. You can find out more and book tickets here.

Lake Eildon

Lake Eildon is just below 70% and ready and waiting for some on water fun. It might be a little busier around the boat ramps so please be considerate of others.

The Great Victorian Rail Trail is open for business and it’s a great time of year to tackle some, or all of this iconic trail.
